Wij zoeken iemand met hart voor de Vasim Circus Space, die de community kent en graag wil bijdragen aan de verdere ontwikkeling naar een professionele en bestendige organisatie door de marketing en communicatie te coördineren. Dit doe je voor alle verschillende functies die wij hebben: de lessen, workshops, events en voorstellingen. In samenwerking met vrijwilligers uit de community zorg je voor bekendheid van de Vasim Circus Space in Nijmegen en daarbuiten en toont de kracht en energie die wij hebben.
Wil jij het verhaal van de Vasim Circus Space verder voor het voetlicht brengen? Wil jij de community op de hoogte houden, verbinden, maar ook nieuwe mensen betrekken bij deze bruisende plek? Kun je goed overzicht houden en zorg jij dat, samen met andere community-leden, de website altijd strak in orde is? Word jij enthousiast van een sterk beeld of een sprekende video en weet jij precies wie je hiervoor moet hebben? Knal jij er zo een campagne uit voor nieuwe members of een groot evenement? En weet jij precies hoe jij de juiste doelgroep kunt bereiken en met welk verhaal?
De rol:
- Je bewaakt de communicatie-lijn op basis van het marketingplan
- Je geeft sturing aan een groep vrijwilligers voor het uitvoeren van de communicatiewerkzaamheden en voert zelf uit
- Je kijkt of de communicatie-doelen gehaald worden, en stuurt bij
- Je denkt mee op beleidsniveau en koppelt terug en stemt af met het bestuur over de grote lijnen
- Je maakt zelfstandig beslissingen
- Je beheert het marketingcommunicatiebudget en legt verantwoording af aan het bestuur
Jouw vaardigheden/eigenschappen:
- Je bent betrokken bij de Vasim Circus Space en wil je voor langere tijd verbinden aan deze rol
- De rol van ‘spin in het web’ past bij je: je weet wat er speelt bij de Vasim Circus Space en haalt relevante informatie op bij huurders, members en organisatoren
- Je hebt gevoel voor tekst en beeld. Je weet welk verhaal je wil vertellen hoe je dat het beste kunt doen aan verschillende doelgroepen
- Je kunt, bij uitzondering, uitvoerend meewerken aan de communicatie: een social media bericht plaatsen, de website aanpassen of het versturen van een nieuwsbrief doe je met gemak.
- Je bent sturend in de ontwikkeling van het artwork en bewaakt de huisstijl.
- Je kunt overweg met MailChimp, WordPress, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Meta en Google Analytics of bent bereid dit te leren
- Je weet hoe je pers moet benaderen, of bent bereid om dit te leren
- Je bent goed in overzicht houden, plannen en samenwerken met vrijwilligers
- Je houdt van zelfstandig werken en neemt initiatief
- Je bent betrouwbaar en secuur
Wat wij bieden:
Een functie voor 4 uur per week op ZZP basis, met perspectief op het uitbreiden van de uren in de toekomst. We bieden je de mogelijkheid om mee te groeien in een jonge ambitieuze organisatie. We bieden een marktconforme vergoeding afhankelijk van kennis en ervaring.
We zoeken iemand die zich voor langere tijd aan de Vasim Circus Space wil verbinden. Het is niet erg als je nog niet veel ervaring hebt met marketing en communicatie, maar wel bereid bent te leren en te ontwikkelen. Wij organiseren waar nodig ondersteuning, coaching of opleiding. Vasim Circus Space in Nijmegen is looking for a Coordinator Marketing & Communication Freelance 4 hours p/w (with possibility of expansion in the future)
We are looking for someone with heart for the Vasim Circus Space, who knows the community and would like to contribute to the further development into a professional and sustainable organization by coordinating the marketing and communication. You will do this for all the different functions we have: classes, workshops, events and performances. In cooperation with volunteers from the community you take care of publicizing the Vasim Circus Space in Nijmegen and beyond and show the power and energy we have.
Do you want to further promote the story of the Vasim Circus Space? Do you want to keep the community informed, connect, but also involve new people in this vibrant place? Are you good at keeping an overview and do you, together with other community members, ensure that the website is always up to date? Do you get excited by a strong image or a striking video and do you know exactly who to contact? Can you create a campaign for new members or a big event? And do you know exactly how to reach the right target group and with which story?
The role:
- You guard the communication line based on the marketing plan
- You will direct a group of volunteers to carry out the communication work and execute it yourself
- You will check if the communication goals are met and make adjustments
- You think along at policy level and give feedback and coordinate with the board about the big picture
- You make decisions independently
- You manage the marketing communications budget and are accountable to the board
Your skills/qualities:
- You are involved in the Vasim Circus Space and want to commit to this role for a longer period of time
- The role of ‘spider in the web’ suits you: you know what is going on at the Vasim Circus Space and collect relevant information from tenants, members and organizers
- You have a feeling for text and image. You know what story you want to tell and how you can best tell it to different target groups.
- You can, exceptionally, collaborate executive on communications: posting a social media message, updating the website or sending out a newsletter is something you do with ease.
- You direct the development of artwork and monitor the corporate identity.
- You can work with MailChimp, WordPress, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Meta and Google Analytics or are willing to learn how to do so.
- You know how to approach press, or are willing to learn this
- You are good at overview, planning and working with volunteers
- You like to work independently and take initiative
- You are reliable and meticulous

We are looking for someone who wants to commit to the Vasim Circus Space for a longer period of time. It does not matter if you do not yet have much experience with marketing and communication, but are willing to learn and develop. We will organize support, coaching or training where necessary.
